The little town of Covas do Barosso is this time the focal point of the same conflict as we have seen in Northern Sweden. Does it make sense to sacrifice of pristine nature and humans so we can have new cars parked everywhere – 95% of the time those cars are almost never used? I will be there this week and talk to local stakeholders and see what the sentiments are today.

The views from “experts” is interesting to read. The Verge online magazine did an interview of seventeen influential people trying to look into a crystal ball into year 2023. Even if we do not agree of all of the comments we do see a trend – mobility is becoming a hotter topic than before and with few exceptions most agree that todays mobility must change. Maybe a bit harsh put – however this video have a few good points. Regardless how we do a personal vehicle it always have a major toll on earth resources. Shared mobility is superior from a sustainable perspective. We support them as they find trains a good solution but we strongly suggest that we need to innovate better for most of all local and regional solutions. If not it will be very difficult to break the current paradigm.
